What people are saying...

Lauren has been somewhat of a tour guide on the journey to finding my "why?", which isn't just one thing. She's helped me ask the right questions and take stock of who I am and more strategically decide how to use my time and expend my energy in ways that are aligned with my values and who I want to be.

This program gave me courage - it was a relief to meet others going through a similar process of uncertainty. When the weekly meetings were over, I would spend another hour working on my LinkedIn profile, brainstorming opportunities, reflecting on what we had talked about - it was so motivating. The program helped me feel more positive about what I am going through and what my future career might look like. It was so valuable to have dedicated time and space to consider what I actually want out of a career.

I really enjoyed participating in Lauren's program. Through exercises, group gatherings, questionnaires, and individual coaching sessions, I was able to gain greater insight into my strengths that should guide my career path. As an entrepreneur, this course helped me to narrow down the focus of my business and better present my value proposition to clients and prospects. Thanks to this course, I am excited about the next chapter of my career!

During my second maternity leave, I decided to pivot and make a career change upon my return to work. I was unclear about where I would be happiest and most successful, and working with Lauren was the first step for me in clarifying my journey into a new career path. Lauren was patient with me through my discovery process and helped me to identify my strengths and values for a new role. Lauren has continued to be available to me as a valuable sounding board as I begin moving forward on an exciting new path. I urge anyone to reach out to Lauren in order to learn more about yourself and setting out to develop and achieve your goals in life and career.

Move Forward is a course for people who want to feel engaged and fulfilled with their work and are ready to learn new tools to do that. It's like a design course- but for your work and life. That's why I call it Work/Life Design.

In this course, you will learn and apply tools to help: identify your goals, discover your strengths and other hidden resources, shift your perspective and make more confident choices. This can help you if you are considering making changes at work or in any aspect of life.

The course is interactive, fun and effective at helping you view yourself and approach your challenges in new ways.

Registration is now open for the next series of classes in Toronto. Location and dates can be found here.

Once we’ve invested significant time into our career, we seldom step aside for reflection, planning, or coming up with new possibilities. And when we don't take time to think, we end up feeling it is passing us by.

Not only do most us neglect to set aside time, but our training is not structured to help us answer these big questions. Many of us simply don’t have the tools to craft our career with intention.

In the decade I have spent working with people on their careers as a recruiter and coach, one of the biggest challenges I see clients facing time and again is that they feel stuck and don't know how to move forward.

When you're feeling this way, you need guidance and practical tools to help you re-orient yourself.

When you learn and apply these tools, you're able to see your challenges through a more productive, proactive lens. You can come up with a variety of solutions and feel more confident about your choices.

Let me help you get better at figuring out what you really want in work and life, discovering the resources to pursue your goals and practicing the mindsets that help you achieve them.

This course is for you if:

  • You’re curious about developing your potential in both work and life.

  • You have goals you’ve been putting off.

  • You don’t know what your goals are yet.

  • You want to benefit from a variety of curated tools and methods, rather than spending lots of time and effort figuring out which ones are the best.

  • You want to have fun and meet other people who are curious about the same thing.

  • You want to be proactive so you feel like you’ve made considered choices in your life.

This course is not for you if:

  • You know exactly what you want and you're already taking committed action toward that goal.

  • You’re showing up at work, as a leader or as a contributor, exactly how you want to be all the time.

  • You want to talk about how bad your work situation is, but not think about how you might change it.

My course use exercises and games developed by the books "What Color is your Parachute?" by Richard Nelson Bolles, "Find your Why" by Simon Sinek and "Designing Your Life" by Bill Burnett and Dave Evans, as well as research from the field of Applied Positive Psychology.

1) Pay for the course (here)

2) Fill in the registration questionnaire before the start date of the class (here)

The fee for the six workshops is $757.00 plus HST. I also offer the Gallup Strengths Finder Top 5 assessment as a gift to all participants.
